The HSV VP Series was launched in October 1991 and featured major upgrades, a re-styled body design and the introduction of six new colours. Independent Rear Suspension also became available on selected short wheelbase models. the introduction of new model names, Senator and GTS which continue to be used to the present day. While the entry-level Clubsport and luxury Senator are equipped with the 180kw V8, the high-performance GTS came standard with the 200kw version and HSV's premium brake package. LSD was standard across the range. Other vehicles in the range included the HSV VP ClubSport, HSV VP SV 91 and a range of limited edition 5th Anniversary vehicles.

Muscle Car Warehouse offers this very special VP Commodore HSV 5th Anniversary model. One of only 65 ever produced. HSV's 5th Anniversary range was released to coincide with the company's 8,000th vehicle being built at the Notting Hill plant. A total of 138 anniversary vehicles were produced including a mix of ClubSport, Senator & Senator 5000i, Maloo, Statesman and Sports Wagon models, and were finished in 'Galaxy Blue' with 'Panorama Silver' lower body components. This particular example presents in beautiful condition inside and out and is the perfect weekend cruiser with rarity to boot!! Built in March 1993 and has the optional Devonish trim. The 5 liter engine runs great and the TH700 automatic transmission shifts smoothly also. Of the 65 units produced this car is build number 63.
